Chapter Five: From The Other Planet
[/i][/u][/center]Story Two
New Planet Spaceport
Hitori helped Nate to one of the space shuttles. She sat him down in the Pilot seat and wrapped a bandage around his wound. She then did another hand motion and healed Nate so his pain would be dimmed. “Can you get us off of this planet?” Nate looked at the controls for a moment, and then back to Hitori. “Yeah, but I feel a little groggy. You might want to sit in the copilot seat.” Nate started the engine, and checked the status of the interior. Everything seemed to be fine, but an oxygen tank seemed to be unstable. “Could you go check out the oxygen tanks? One of them seems unstable. Just tighten the screws.” Hitori nods and runs down to the oxygen tanks. Hitori keeps his eyes on his status screen, and after a minute, the screen says the oxygen tanks are okay. “Good job! Get back up here so we can launch.”
As Hitori finds her way back to the copilot seat, Nate starts the countdown. He grips a handle with one hand and presses a series of buttons with the other. He points to a button. “When I say ‘Go,’ press that, okay?” Hitori stares at the button, and then back at Nate. She nods with a serious face. “Okay, here we go. Five… Four… Three… Two… One… GO!” Hitori hits the button, and the engines ignite. The shuttle began its ascent, and the two of them looked at each other with a smile. The shuttle broke through the atmosphere, and they were finally away from that planet. Hitori stood up and glided over to Nate to check his wound. It seemed to be fine, but he shouldn’t use his leg for a while.
Just then, a familiar man in armor floated in. He brushed his hair back and took out a double barrel shotgun and held it on his shoulder. “Hello again, Nate. What brings you here? How’s your leg?” The man gives a grin as Hitori shoots a look at York. “What are you doing here?” York smiled and floated over to the woman. “I’m getting the sword. That’s what. Now hand it over.” Nate got out of his seat and floated there. He took out the sword and readied it. “Even in my current condition, I can easily take you down!” Nate kicks off with his non-injured leg and swings at York. York glides out of the way and aims the double barrel shotgun at Nate’s head. “This gun was designed to work anywhere. On land, in the water, or in space. Don’t think zero gravity will stop it.”
Hitori began to do a hand gesture, when York pulled out a revolver and pointed it at her. “Same goes to you. Now give me the sword.” Nate sighs and holds out the handle to York. York puts the revolver away, and reaches for the sword. Hitori finishes her gesture, and a large rock is hurled at York, which hits him in the chest. He gets the air knocked out of him and grasps his chest. Nate ties York up and puts him in a closet. He looks at Hitori and sighs. “Thanks.” Hitori smiles and winks. “All in a day’s work.” Nate gets back to the pilot seat and looks at their progression. “We’re almost there. Please take your seat.” Hitori sits in the seat, and Nate rubs his eyes. “I can’t focus. You’ll have to land us.” Hitori looks at Nate. “What did you say?! I don’t know how!” Nate smiles. “It’s easy. Just follow exactly what I say to do.”
The shuttle shoots through the atmosphere, and heads toward Rocket Town. Hitori frantically presses a series of buttons, and the landing gear comes down. “Good, Hitori. Now pull on the controls, and we’ll slow down. That will help make landing easier.” Hitori did as she was told, and the shuttle slowed down. “You’d make a good pilot, Hitori. Now, press that button, and then pull that lever. It should activate auto pilot.” Hitori pressed the button, and pulled the lever. In green lettering, the words AUTO PILOT ENGAGED showed on the control panel. Hitori sighed. Nate smiled. “Great job.”
The shuttle safely lands in Rocket Town. Hitori helps Nate out of the shuttle and they find a car. They get in and drive away from Rocket Town. Nate looks at Hitori. “Where are we headed?” Hitori looks back and ponders for a moment before looking back at the road. “I don’t know. Maybe we should go to Cosmo Canyon. Maybe they can tell us what this sword is.” Nate nods, and they took off for Cosmo Canyon.
