Chapter 10: Wait… Where Are We Going?

Kael and Aurora were speeding across the world on Lancelot’s back, when Aurora suddenly stopped the chocobo. “Hey,” said Kael, “Why did we stop?” Aurora smacks her forehead. “Duh! If it was robbed, the stupid thing wouldn’t be there! We should go to the middle of that triangle!” Aurora pulls out a map, and draws the same triangle that was shown at the City of the Ancients. She pinpoints the location of the temple, and smiles. “Alright, it says… Wait, that can’t be right. It’s in the middle of the water!” Aurora scratches her head. “Hmm… oh well. I guess we go anyway.”<br>
The two kids make their way to the location, with Lancelot standing on the ocean as they ponder while looking at the map. “I don’t get it,” said Kael. “It should be here. Why isn’t it here?” Aurora looks up. “It is.” She nudges Kael, and the two gaze up, where a giant fortress is flying, almost invisible. The thing looks like it is made of glass, and about 500 miles up, which is beyond any aircraft’s reach. “Aww,” said Kael. “How are we going to reach it all the way up there?” Aurora just smiled as Lancelot backed up very far, and then sped at a great speed, spreading its wings and jumps, jetting into the air, its wings preventing it from falling. “I didn’t know Chocobos could fly!” Kael screamed. “They can’t! They jump really high, though!” Aurora replied with a smile.
Temple of the Azure Sky
They land on a platform of crystal, with the gigantic castle overlooking them. They stood there with their mouths open, and Lancelot started eating Kael’s hair. “Hey! Stop that!” The chocobo laughs and jumps away, and returns to the ranch. The two walk toward the castle, and open the large gates, and they see a gigantic main hall full of statues, paintings, and various other artworks. One piece in the middle of the room was very different. The sculpture was of a man with a large sword and a stone, with a gigantic rock over them, looking as if it would hit. In front of the man were seven people, with various weapons in their hands, looking as if they were about to battle. No doubt this was a sculpture of what happened many years ago with Sephiroth and Cloud.
In the center of the giant rock, was a smaller one. It was an emerald green, but something was making its color flawed. As the two walked closer, they could see what was inside the stone. A man was trapped in the stone, with his eyes closed. He had silver hair, and green eyes. He had several scars on his body, which seemed to have been made by a large sword. He wore black baggy pants, and his body was very fit. He seemed as if he was about to die. On the ground in front of the sculpture of the past, there were three missing sections of the floor. One was for a circular object, one was for a very large, bulky sword, and the last one was no doubt for the Masamune blade. Kael and Aurora were awestruck by the magnificent castle, which they could stare at its beauty for all time. They could have, if not for what was about to happen.
