Temple of the Azure Sky[/b][/center]
Kael spun around nervously as the large gates of the temple opened. With the Masamune blade in hand, he saw as a girl, an old man, a laid back man, and a woman walked through. Kael yelled over to them. “Who are you?” Nate and Hitori look at each other, and Amber replies. “We’re here to stop the use of this temple! Who the hell are you?” Kael sighs, and rests the sword. “I’m just a kid. And this is Aurora.” The six meet in the center of the hall. “So, we have all the artifacts,” said Nate. “I guess we win.” Gramps looked at Nate. “Not quite, boy. Keep in mind, there are very powerful people out there.”<br>
As Gramps spoke, the doors once again opened, and a large man walked through the door. Kael’s eyes widened, but everyone else was confused. “I know him! He tried to take the Blade from me in that room! Guys, be careful!” Nate got the Ultima Sword ready, Kael with the Masamune, Hitori prepared her magic, Amber got out her shurikens, Gramps aimed his gun, and Amber stood there with a smile and a rock. “So nice of you to get all of the artifacts. It saved me a lot of time.” The man walked over slowly. He was very tall, and wore a pitch black robe. His hair was short, but much like Sephiroth’s. His blue eyes gazed upon the artifacts, seeming lifeless, but full of power. He threw back his robe, and drew his Gunblade. “Now…” He pulled back the hammer of the gun. “Hand over the artifacts, or you die.” He points the gun at Amber. The group murmurs to each other as the man stands erect and motionless. “NOW!” Kael shouted. Amber threw her shurikens at the man’s legs, Gramps shot the gun at his chest, and Hitori threw fireballs at his head. The man smirks as he bats the entire assault away. He points the gun once again at Amber and fires. A loud bang can be heard, and many bullets fly into Amber’s body. She collapses to the ground as Kael and Nate rush into battle, swords in hand. Aurora squeezes the stone, and it transforms into a staff. She uses curative magic to aid Amber, and then spins it. “Time to show you what I can do!” She tosses the staff into the air, and it opens a portal. A firey demon emerges and looks at the man. “Come now, girl. Is this it? The fire demon Ifrit is nothing to me.” The man jumps over Kael and Nate, and slashes at Ifrit, cutting off its head. Ifrit disappears in a fury of flames. As he lands, Kael and Nate arrive, swinging their swords at the man. He blocks every blow, and slowly goes to the offensive. The two can hardly block his incredible attacks. They are eventually thrown into the wall, and the man looks at Hitori, Amber, and Gramps. They begin to give the man everything they have, but once again, it isn’t enough. He easily overpowers them and knocks them out as well.
“This was too easy.” He sheaths his Gunblade and picks up the three artifacts. He slowly places them into the holes in the floor, and they begin to glow. “Sephiroth, my lord, your time has come. Awaken from your slumber and dominate this planet.” The green gem within the sculpture glows, and then shatters. Sephiroth lands on the ground, on his knees, fists clenched, and eyes closed. He looks up, and opens his eyes with a smirk. He gets up, and walks over to the Artifacts. “I thank you. You have proven yourself to me.” He picks up the three artifacts and throws them into where he was once held. The three artifacts slowly merged into a single sword. It had the length of the Masamune, the size and color of the Ultima Weapon, and the Black Materia was at the base of the hilt. Sephiroth takes the sword, and holds it, pointing off to the side. “However, you are no longer a use to me.” He slashes the man with the sword, and the man explodes in a flurry of light, fire, and sparks. “SEPHIROTH! NOOO!!!!!” The man disappeared into nothing. Sephiroth looked around the room. “Not worth my time.” He slowly walks out of the Temple, and begins to float. “This world is defenseless. I shall rule these people.” He then shoots off, sword in hand, to the north.
The group slowly wakes up, and they look amongst each other. “Everyone alright?” Aurora asked weakly. They all nodded their heads. “d**nit,” said Nate. “That guy is invincible! We can’t compete!” Kael walks to the sculpture, and looks at it. “Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. We need to defeat Sephiroth, just as Cloud did. Together, we can do it.” A part of the sculpture begins to glow, and becomes real. Cloud’s sword falls from the sculpture, down to the ground. The Buster Sword has been awakened. From the ceiling, several Materia fell down, and the group caught them all. “Is this Cloud’s stuff?” Hitori asked. “Yeah,” said Kael. “If we can learn how to use this stuff, we may win…” Kael picked up the Buster Sword. “We have a chance. We need to stop Sephiroth. We can’t let him try again. We will end this, now and forever.” Aurora chuckles. “Sure thing, Mr. Hero.” Kael makes an embarrassed face at Aurora. “Hey, don’t call me that. I don’t like people taunting me…” Aurora giggles. “Wait,” said Nate. “What about the rest of us? We need weapons, too.” “Leave it to us,” said Amber. “Gramps and I have all the weapons you will ever need.” The team walks out of the Temple, and look up, where the Highwind is circling them. Amber takes out a mechanical device, and presses a button. “Highwind, descend and pick us up.” As if reacting to her voice, the Highwind lowers its altitude and drops the rope ladder. It is obvious it did it itself, considering that Nanaki can’t exactly drive an Airship. “Alright,” said Nate. “We gotta do this right the first time. Unless, of course, you want to be blown to bits. Now, let’s kick some Sephiroth ass!” They all cheer, and one by one, they climb into the Airship. The true battle has just begun.
